Once deployed, a contract’s code usually cannot be modified directly. However, many projects use proxy contracts to retain the option to upgrade.
Code audits can uncover many vulnerabilities, but being audited doesn’t mean a contract is vulnerability-free, nor does it mean the project team is trustworthy.
