Essential crypto knowledge: Bitcoin and Ethereum
Many tokens and DeFi applications are built on Ethereum and its Layer 2 networks, while the Bitcoin mainnet is mostly used for transfers and storing value.

$BTC and $ETH are the native coins of Bitcoin and Ethereum, respectively, but they have different design goals.
