This market is honestly wearing us down.
The broader market hasn’t delivered the thrill of a sharp plunge and wick, or the satisfaction of a powerful rally. Instead, it’s been grinding back and forth in a narrow range. Ethereum, Uniswap, DOGE, and SHIB are all stuck at critical levels, unable to move decisively in either direction. In times like these, rather than blindly guessing where the market is headed, it’s better to mark out key support and resistance levels and let the market show its hand.
Ethereum (ETH): $2,490 is a tough nut to crack
ETH is currently trading around $2,455. After failing to break through $2,800 in late September, the bulls are clearly losing steam.
Looking at the charts, $2,490 is a crucial hurdle in the short term. The daily candle needs to close firmly above this level for ETH to regain its upward momentum; only then would $2,600 be the next target. But what if it can’t break through?
Looking further down, the $2,310–$2,355 range has been the line in the sand that bulls have fiercely defended over the past week or so. A few days ago, ETH dipped to around $2,310 on noticeably higher trading volume, suggesting buyers were stepping in to support the price. However, the daily RSI is currently around 40, indicating weak momentum. If the $2,310 support is decisively broken, traders should be prepared to defend the area around $2,100.
Uniswap (UNI): Bulls and bears in a tug-of-war, waiting for a breakout
UNI has fallen steadily from its September high of $10.90 and is now trading around $7.39. After dropping nearly 30%, it is currently moving sideways in a range between $6.80 and $7.85.
Its RSI is right around 50, the clearest sign of a balance between bulls and bears. Trying to guess whether UNI will move up or down right now is about as likely to pay off as flipping a coin. The strategy is simple: wait for it to break out of this range.
Dogecoin (DOGE): The battle to defend $0.08
DOGE is currently trading at $0.0816, and it has had a rough time lately.
Resistance sits at $0.0860, while $0.0800 is the short-term psychological support level. A few days ago, the price briefly dipped as low as $0.0777, but quickly recovered. However, it is still capped below the moving averages, and the rebound has yet to be confirmed.
For DOGE, the $0.08 level is make-or-break. If the daily candle closes below it, $0.0777—and even $0.0750—could be the next levels to test. Only a strong break above $0.0860 would signal that momentum has returned.
Shiba Inu (SHIB): Concerns over dwindling trading volume
SHIB is currently trading around $0.00000514. It surged to $0.00000627 in late September but failed to hold that level and has since pulled back.
The biggest problem right now isn't the price—it's the lack of trading volume. Without volume, any rebound is just smoke and mirrors. Support at $0.00000500 is a fragile short-term floor; if it breaks, SHIB will likely retest its September low. The first resistance above is at $0.00000528, followed by $0.00000545. Until buyers show real strength, a significant rally in SHIB will be difficult.
The hard truth: Those who can hang on stand out; those who can't get washed out
In this kind of tight-range market, short-term traders are most likely to get whipsawed in both directions. There isn't much room to move either way: chasing a rally can leave you stuck holding the bag, while selling into a drop can mean cutting your position near the bottom.
The core strategy for now is simple: watch more, trade less.
If you're holding spot, as long as the key support levels mentioned above (such as ETH at $2,310 and DOGE at $0.08) hold, be patient and don't let intraday fluctuations shake you out. If you're on the sidelines, don't rush in just because you see a green candle. Wait for a confirmed breakout on the daily chart before entering.
Big moves take time to develop. Manage your position size, keep some funds in reserve, and wait until the direction is clear before making your move.
