The signal the market gave me today wasn’t about whether prices would rise or fall. It was about “people.”
On the BTC side, the same whale sold 1,601 BTC over five days and rotated into 53,095 ETH at an average price of 2,497. Meanwhile, someone else opened a $187 million long with maximum leverage, with a liquidation price of $80,634—less than 2% away from the current price. One is rotating their holdings; the other is betting on direction. I’m more concerned about the latter—with the U.S.–Iran window still open this weekend, a shakeout in this kind of positioning could trigger a liquidation cascade. My move is to reduce leverage, not guess the direction.
In stocks, capital has already rotated into a different sector: Eli Lilly rose 8% in two days, the healthcare ETF led all 11 sectors, and the semiconductor ETF has fallen for seven straight days. Wall Street is buying healthcare and consumer staples, not stories. The narrative around AI hardware and the flow of capital have already diverged.
Among the new developments, NeoSoul’s Believe Plan is worth a look: once the lock-up period ends, funds aren’t released based on time but on KPIs; any allocation that fails to meet the target for that period is forfeited. The idea is sound, but who sets and verifies the KPIs is the crux—follower counts and engagement can both be gamed, so this may just replace “time-based unlocking” with “data-based unlocking.”
I didn’t open any new positions today. I did just two things: cut leverage and expand my watchlist.
