I hid my stop-loss order on-chain, so market makers can’t see it anymore

This happens to me all the time: my stop gets hit, and then the market reverses 😭

It’s not bad luck—my orders are just too transparent. Every order on-chain is public, so market makers can see everything. They target my stop-loss levels, hit them, and then the market reverses. I’ve been burned like this several times.

That’s why I really like the Covenant from @Nillion .

#nil is a smart instruction that “no one can understand before it’s triggered.” For example, if you want to “buy Bitcoin when it drops to 80,000,” you encrypt that instruction and put it on-chain.

While it’s sitting on-chain, no one can see what it says—not market makers, not bots, and not even Nillion itself. When the price actually reaches that level, it unlocks and executes automatically. You don’t have to watch the charts, and there’s no middleman who can peek at it.

I checked, and this isn’t just hype: Dusk officially launched on Ethereum mainnet on September 28, and it’s available to use now—not a testnet.

Regular users can create instructions directly, or stake $NIL to run a node and earn rewards.

What I’m even more excited about is that this is just the first of seven phases. There are new versions coming before the end of the year.

The next phase will expand to more chains. Further down the line, public data like interest rates and news will also be usable as triggers—not just prices.

Using on-chain apps used to feel like playing cards in a glass house, with your opponent seeing your hand the whole time. Now, we can finally keep our cards hidden.

Stop-losses that can’t be hunted and bids sealed until an auction—both are now possible.
