About $6.79 million in Binance futures positions were liquidated in the past hour. Longs accounted for 44.4% ($3.01 million in long positions / $3.77 million in short positions), and the largest liquidation was $AGT .
A question every beginner asks: How does liquidation happen?
Maintenance margin is the minimum margin required to keep a position from being liquidated. The larger the position, the higher the required margin ratio generally is.
My hard-and-fast rule: Keep my position small enough to sleep easy, and set my stop-loss more reliably than an alarm clock.
Don’t chase a trade during the most volatile moment. Wait for the price action to play out before deciding.
