In crypto over the weekend, it’s your ability to “sit tight” that gets tested more than the market itself

It’s Saturday, and trading volume is drying up across the market. BTC is currently at $81,620, down 0.96% over 24 hours, with an intraday high and low of 82,940 / 80,809; ETH is at $2,423, down 0.91%; SOL is at $104.4, down 1.07%. All three major assets are edging lower, and volume is weak—the most typical kind of weekend market.

Here’s something I’ve been turning over in my mind lately: the market spends 90% of its time moving sideways, and only 10% of the time handing out gains. Yet most people lose most of their capital during that 90% of sideways action. When the market is boring, the easiest mistake to make is getting “itchy fingers.”

Here are some specific levels to watch:
$BTC 80,800 is the key support level over the past couple of days. As long as it holds, price will keep grinding within the range. 82,900 is short-term resistance overhead, and the odds of a false breakout over the weekend aren’t low, so don’t rush to chase it;
$ETH 2,400 is a round-number level that coincides with the previous low of 2,393, making them the same line of defense. If it holds, there’s still a rebound structure; if it breaks, watch 2,350;
$SOL 104 is near the bottom of the range. If it weakens along with the broader market, 102 is the next level to watch.

The best weekend position is one that lets you sleep well. When the market isn’t moving, staying put is a strategy in itself. There’s no harm in waiting until volume picks up on Monday before making a move.
