Cross River plugs RLUSD into its core banking system. $XRP is still moving sideways, down nearly 2%.

Cross River, a U.S. bank that specializes in providing infrastructure for a range of fintech companies, has integrated Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin directly into its core banking system. Fintech clients that use Cross River to manage accounts, cards, and payments can now settle transactions in RLUSD directly within the system, without going through a separate bridge layer.

Multiple sources have confirmed this is a real integration, not a small-scale test. RLUSD volume has been cited at around $2.4 billion.

What no one has made clear is how many Cross River clients will switch to using RLUSD right away—or whether this simply opens the door, with each fintech making its own decision.

News like this should push the price up. But $XRP 24 is down nearly 2% over the past 24 hours, hovering around $1.31, barely moving.

Worth watching today: will RLUSD’s on-chain flows increase in response to this news, or will it remain just a headline?

Personal observation, not investment advice.
