When I first got into the market, I only looked at prices. It was later that I learned to look at them alongside contract open interest. $BTW is a good example:
Looking only at the price, a 3.16% rise over 24 hours might make you think new money is flowing in. But when you compare it with open interest, you see a 17.07% drop—it looks more like short sellers closing their positions.
