Where Is Uptober? Bitcoin Trails Its Typical October by 10 Points

Where is Uptober? Bitcoin is trailing its typical October by nearly 10 percentage points.

Bitcoin opened the month at 83,576 dollars and sits near 82,100 dollars, about 1.8 percent below that open. At this point in past Octobers, the average gain was 6.7 percent and the median 3.8 percent. $BTC finished October higher in 10 of 13 years since 2013, with an average full-month return of about 19.1 percent.

History offers hope without a promise. CryptoQuant sees 2022 as the closest match, when Bitcoin recovered late and ended the month 5.9 percent above its open, and says the historical average should not be treated as a 2026 target. The line to watch is about 80,400 dollars. A confirmed break exposes 77,000 dollars.

One quiet positive: Grayscale says Bitcoin's one-year realized volatility fell to 43 percent, below its 64 percent ten-year average. Meanwhile $ETH bounced 3.2 percent, and $INJ, $STRK and $ZK led the trending list.
