It’s hard to introduce myself. How do I share just enough information while still being humble and genuine, so readers will feel warmly toward me after reading a few lines of cold text?
I started investing in crypto when I was still very poor. It’s hard to describe exactly, because poverty brings up so many ironic, bitter feelings—you know how poor people aren’t respected. This was around the end of 2012 or 2013 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. That was very early, wasn’t it? I know many people won’t believe me, but it’s true.
Some people won’t be able to hide their curiosity and will ask me sincerely—or sarcastically: “You got in so early. Have you gotten rich yet?” I can honestly answer: I was rich by 29, a crypto millionaire. I’ve owned more than two houses and a car, although I never drive.
Do you think AI wrote this? No, I’ve just read so many Buddhist scriptures that I’ve started to sound like Buddhist philosophy. I’m in my late 30s, and in a few years I’ll be in my late 40s. Time is truly cruel. Lately, I’ve become interested in Buddhist philosophy.
If you’re still curious about why I turned to Buddhist philosophy so early, it’s because I started investing early, made profits early, lost money early, and gained experience early—and more of it than you (fortunately). When you’re making profits, there’s no need to bring it up: you’re in a great mood, surrounded by people, with a good partner and lots of friends. Try losing money—especially a lot, and often—and you’ll immediately understand what people mean by the human condition, and how cold-hearted people can be.
That’s when I turned to Buddhist philosophy and began studying Buddhism.
Since returning to the Buddha’s teachings, I’ve hardly lost money. It’s not that I’ve attained some lofty enlightenment; it’s just that the Buddha said: “Neither arising nor ceasing, neither defiled nor pure, neither increasing nor decreasing” — from the Heart Sutra, translated by Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh.
I realized: “If you don’t trade, you can’t lose.”
By now, some of you are probably laughing out loud, smiling, or laughing through your tears—bitterly. I can understand every emotion a trader feels, because I’m a real trader myself. Who hasn’t been liquidated? Who hasn’t felt the pain? Who hasn’t lost money? We’ve all fallen victim to our own ego: just a little longer, just hold on, keep holding on and on, adding every last dollar to try to increase the position, ...
My friend, I’m not here to preach or tell you what to do. I’m simply here, present on Binance Square, lighting a candle and sitting here. So when you feel confused, lost, or hurt, or want to cry, come back here, light a candle, and sit with me.
When I retire (I’m already financially free), I just want to write, be a source of emotional support, and light a candle. Some people will appreciate me, some will reject me, some will be jealous, and some will admire me. I’m just a mirror, reflecting your desires and fears. I won’t argue or try to prove anything. I see this as a process of cultivating the heart and mind.
If you’ve read this far, someone is bound to ask me: can you share your market outlook?
I tend to take a long-term view (based on cycles, over a two-year horizon). In the past, I correctly predicted the bottoms and tops (the last two times). Right now, my prediction is BTC at 135k, and possibly 145k–165k further out. Don’t ask what I’m basing it on. Of course, it’s based on experience, knowledge, and expertise.
Getting the bottom and top right isn’t important. What matters is how much money you make each cycle, each time you make a prediction.
So, come back to yourself. Only you know exactly how much money you have, how it’s allocated, and how you think.
Believe in yourself.
Give yourself a chance.
If one day you start doubting yourself, come back here: light a candle and have a cup of tea.
Can studying Buddhism help you make profits trading?
The meaning of the Heart Sutra is profound and wondrous. It comes down to two things: no craving, no disappointment. No attachment, no fear.
Ho Chi Minh City, one day in October 2026.
