ETH bounced from 2,315 to 2,490 in just two days, gaining nearly three times as much as BTC. Yet institutions are fleeing overnight—so what exactly is driving this rally?

First, take a look at two figures:
- U.S. spot ETH ETFs: Outflows of $129.5 million on October 14, followed by another $60.22 million on the 15th. Nearly $190 million flowed out in just two days, with BlackRock’s ETHA accounting for the lion’s share.
- Meanwhile, BTC ETFs bounced back, with net inflows of $5.06 million on the 15th. BlackRock’s IBIT alone bought $16.8 million worth.

BTC climbed above $82,000, and ETH reclaimed $2,450. Prices have rebounded, but institutional money is flowing out of ETH and into BTC. So was this ETH rally entirely driven by retail investors buying the dip?

Time to pick a side: Is this ETH rally a genuine reversal, or a classic bull trap?
