$PYTH is down 7.9% on the day, right after its own team announced a buyback rule. i think the market has that backwards.

Pyth says its new 100% rule sends every dollar the Pyth DAO receives into buying PYTH each month. that's the project's own claim, not something i've audited. but a standing monthly bid is still a standing bid.

The second claim is the one to check. Pyth says its prices set $2.03T of RWA perps volume in Q3 2026, about 96% of the category, and $1.26T of that is stocks. if even most of it holds up, there's a real business under that bid.

the dip is the price of getting in before the buyback shows up in the numbers.

$PYTH trades at $0.08676 right now, well off the 24h high of $0.09669. if it holds $0.08546, i think the buyback story gets priced back in and the bounce goes after that high. if it loses $0.08546, i'm wrong on this and there's nothing to defend. anyone already long eats that loss with me.

holding $0.08546 or losing it?
