WSJ uncovers a bombshell: During the months former Trump crypto adviser Bo Hines was pushing the GENIUS stablecoin bill at the White House, Nxum, a company he co-founded, received $6.3 million from Tether. The first payment even came while he was still in office. He left in August and went straight to Tether as its U.S. CEO in September. The billโs biggest winner is $USDTโand the same person was both the referee and the one getting paid: A) Standard revolving-door stuff; nothing surprising. B) This whole arrangement looks downright shameless. #GENIUS
