I saw @celestia announce Eden today—not another “general-purpose L2,” but a high-performance EVM running on Celestia DA, designed specifically for experiments in agentic commerce.

The official description is quite restrained: existing Solidity/Hardhat/Foundry tools work out of the box; there’s a single sequencer; the native gas token is $TIA, which must first be deposited via the Eden bridge. The protocol layer also adds batch transactions, gas sponsorship, and a contract size limit of 128 KB—features not typically found in a standard EVM setup. Eden is an independent execution environment; only data availability is connected to the Celestia mainnet.

Odaily adds: The first experiment is Botfun in a closed test—agents can issue tokens themselves, trade narratives with other agents, and pay for model inference calls on-chain via x402. Sounds promising, but it’s still positioned as a sandbox; it doesn’t mean “AI has already taken over on-chain payments.”

By the way: someone used $TIA's gains that same day to tell a story. That's market action, not automatic proof of demand from Eden's launch. This is not investment advice.
