It’s almost midnight, and the market is so quiet I can hear myself blink.

I just finished one last check of my positions. BTC is stuck at 81,868, down 0.2% over 24h. It only moved within a $1,200 range all day, from 81,688 to 82,941—ridiculously tight. ETH, on the other hand, climbed 1.7% to 2,455, though volume has shrunk quite a bit compared with yesterday. Put simply, nobody wants to make the first move in a market like this. Whoever moves first gets hit.

My system is showing a bullish bias for XAUT, but it hasn’t reached my add-to-position threshold. It’s currently at 4,178, up 0.6% over 24h. It touched a high of 4,191 and a low of 4,142—a range of just $47 for the whole day. Volume is 21.65M, nothing exciting. To be honest, I’ve set up four grid levels between 4,140 and 4,190, and two small take-profit orders triggered today. The gains aren’t much, but at least it’s steady. The trend module is still signaling “wait and see.” I won’t chase it unless it breaks above 4,195.

Honestly, gold tokens have been showing a little promise by moving against the trend these past couple of days. BTC is flat while XAUT is slowly grinding higher—that safe-haven flow is starting to show. But I’ve been fooled by this kind of thing several times before. A gentle rise like this can easily turn back into a drop by the time you wake up. Without a breakout signal from the system, I’m sticking to grid trading and not betting on a direction.
