Investment banks are pumping it—another lease on life for the premium
Cantor raised its MSTR price target from 186 to 208, and also bumped its BTC forecast for the next 12 months from $98,000 to $112,000. The valuation of the company, backed by the 848,000 coins it holds, was talked up from $97 billion to $110 billion.
This thing is basically a leveraged BTC spot proxy. Its premium survives on faith alone, and those price targets are meant to appeal to passive funds. In the short term, it’ll probably ride the good news for a quick spike. But the MSCI removal risk is still lurking. If passive funds pull out, the pullback will be real—and a rally followed by a fade that shakes out late buyers seems like the more likely script.
If you’re holding MSTR, drop your cost basis and let’s see whether this is a level to catch a falling knife or get on board.
