Lining up at $77 to catch a falling knife

HYPE is currently at 80.9, with $14.8 million in buy orders sitting between 77 and 78.12. 70% of them were added temporarily in the early hours today. The wildest part? The people placing those orders don’t hold a single HYPE—they’re basically saying, “I’ll put in my order now and buy if it drops.”

These orders are stacked up like a subway at rush hour, with nearly $15 million crammed into three price levels. But look closer: 88% are newly opened long positions, and 12% are short covering. That short-covering volume isn’t even enough to get a bite. If the big players really push through 77, these newly placed orders will be the first stop-losses to get swept. Then they’ll pull the price back up—the classic playbook.

Keep a close eye on 77.4 in the short term. A fake breakdown could shake out some longs; a real breakdown would send it toward 73. If market-maker liquidity is deep enough, they could drive it down in a quick wick and then V-recover, gobble up all $10.8 million added today, and then reverse course, push it back to 82, and squeeze the shorts.

Long-side brothers, how many buy orders have you got sitting at 77? Dare to share your entry price?
