🚨 BREAKING: RUSSIA DRAWS A RED LINE ON CRYPTO 🇷🇺
The Central Bank of Russia confirmed that users will not be able to transfer cryptocurrencies from regulated digital accounts to personal self-custody wallets.
In other words: you won’t even be able to move your own Bitcoin to a wallet where you control the keys.
What you need to know:
🔹 No transfers to personal wallets: funds in regulated accounts cannot be moved to self-custody.
🔹 More control through regulated platforms: buying and selling will be routed through approved intermediaries.
🔹 P2P has a deadline: direct trading between individuals would be banned starting July 1, 2027.
🔹 Freedom under lock and key: owning Bitcoin is one thing. Being able to move it whenever you want is another.
Think about it for a second. You buy BTC with your own money. You weather the risk when the market tanks. You wait patiently. What if you can’t move it to a wallet you control?
Bitcoin was created to give you control over your money without asking a bank for permission. When your coins are held on a platform, you depend on its rules. When you hold your keys, you’re in control.
NOT YOUR KEYS, NOT YOUR COINS. 🔑
This goes beyond Russia. It raises an open question for every holder:
Is your Bitcoin really yours if someone else decides where you can send it?
The market will keep changing. Rules come and go. But understanding who controls your assets will always matter.
What do you think? Is Russia protecting investors, or crossing a line when it comes to control over cryptocurrencies?
