Why is nobody talking about the projects that showed up with nothing to sell you?

Plenty of traders have bought the polished launch, watched the hype fade, and realized they were exit liquidity. The deck looked serious, the timeline was loud, and the entry still felt late.

No venture capital. No board of directors. No marketing budget. For a long time that read like a project that was not ready. $BTC made the opposite case. Nobody held a treasury they could dump, nobody could vote the rules into something more convenient, and nobody was paying for attention. The asset had to earn a market instead of renting one. Set that next to the usual path, where early capital and a marketing budget do the work before most people ever see a chart, and the quiet chart starts to look less like a flaw.

$ETH showed a network can still matter once the conversation moves from who funded it to whether anyone actually uses it. The risk is treating a funded narrative as the same thing as that kind of staying power. If the only thing holding a token up is the budget behind it, the trade was never about you.

What do you trust more now, the raise or the lack of one?
