Hong Kong police reported that more than 150 WhatsApp hijacking cases occurred within two weeks, resulting in losses exceeding HK$15 million. The attacks included targeting crypto OTC desks. After hijacking employees’ accounts, scammers cloned information from genuine internal work groups.
