Knowledge Notes | UTXO and Account Models
① Bitcoin uses the UTXO (Unspent Transaction Output) model: each transaction consumes several existing outputs and generates new ones.
② Ethereum uses the account model: the blockchain directly records each account’s balance, and a transfer deducts funds from one account and adds them to another.
③ If a transaction on Ethereum remains unconfirmed, subsequent transactions will get stuck. You can resend it with a higher gas fee and the same nonce to replace it.
