It stayed below $80,000 for only two hours, and buyers did step in—but hold off on cueing the “the bull market is back” soundtrack.

CoinDesk reported today that BTC bounced from around $79,800 to near $82,500 within two hours, while Asian stocks also rebounded: the MSCI Asia-Pacific Index rose 1.3%, and South Korea’s Kospi gained nearly 3%. This looks more like a broad recovery in risk appetite than a sudden new, sure-fire positive catalyst for crypto.

I’ll be watching $84,000—the level BTC failed to hold after spiking on Wednesday’s inflation data. Reclaim it, and the rebound becomes more convincing; fail to, and that dip below $80K remains a warning sign.

Buyers stepping in is one thing; a trend reversal still needs confirmation.
