My childhood friend, whom I grew up with, failed at his startup six years ago and was left with 1.3 million yuan in debt.
His relatives and friends all distanced themselves from him. Every day, he was bombarded with debt-collection calls, and the moment he opened his eyes, he was already thinking about how to fill the hole.
Later, he got into crypto and threw himself into studying trading. He hit countless pitfalls along the way and paid plenty of tuition in losses. Eventually, I gave him a strategy that suited him. He followed it to the letter, and his assets have now grown to over 6 million yuan.
He’s managed to make it through all these years by focusing on just four things: coin selection, entry, position sizing, and exit.
First, coin selection.
He mainly looks at daily charts and doesn’t like watching shorter time frames. When selecting coins, he looks at the trend first, then trading volume. He pays special attention to coins showing a MACD golden cross, particularly one above the zero line, as that tends to indicate greater strength.
Entry is simple, too.
He only considers entering once the price has held above a key moving average. If a trend hasn’t emerged, he waits patiently. Many people lose money not because they don’t know how to buy, but because they buy too hastily.
Position sizing matters even more.
Even when an opportunity looks great, I never go all in. There’s no such thing as a 100% sure thing in the market. Leaving yourself a way out is more important than anything else.
Exiting also follows rules.
When the expected profit target is reached, take profits in stages; if the trend breaks down, exit. Making more or less profit is one thing; actually locking in your gains is another.
There’s one more thing I have to say.
Every trading system makes mistakes sometimes. No strategy can guarantee a profit every time. When a signal proves wrong, cut your losses when you need to, and admit you were wrong when you need to.
So many people are always looking for a way to make money 100% of the time.
But what really matters in crypto has never been being right every time. It’s losing less when you’re wrong and trying to make more when you’re right.
As long as you can do that, time will be on your side, and your account will naturally grow over time.
No hype, no empty promises—just practical experience on how to survive in crypto. If you’re still losing money over and over, like, share, and follow @翻仓王--盈哥 so we can grow together.
