$ETH Opened a short position on ETHUSDT on the 4-hour timeframe — sharing my entry logic while the trade is still open.
This week, the price direction changed and ETH started correcting. After a sharp downward impulse, I spotted a familiar pattern on the 4H chart: a mitigation block formed in the premium zone (an area where, according to my theory, big players defended their previous position), with an imbalance inside it (a gap in fair value that price often returns to fill before continuing its move). I decided to enter at its 50% level.
Entry: $2464. I set a tight stop just above the mitigation block’s upper boundary to minimize risk if the setup doesn’t play out. Take profit is set at the previous lows, where, according to my analysis, liquidity is waiting to be taken by the market.
The position is currently slightly in profit: +1.20 USDT, +1.69% ROI on 4x isolated margin, with a mark price of $2453.79 versus the $2464 entry. The trade is still open — now it’s just a matter of waiting to see whether the market confirms the setup or the stop gets hit first.
For me, this is always a moment to test theoretical knowledge in practice: a concept on a chart and a concept that actually plays out in a live market are two different things.
