Who knew hackers could make off with $1.18 billion in just one quarter? 🚨🔐

Security firm Hacken just released its Q3 report, and the numbers are chilling:

🔹 There were 107 security incidents in Q3, with total losses of about $1.18 billion
🔹 It was the worst quarter since Q1 2025—the last time things were even worse was the Bybit hack, which caused about $1.6 billion in losses in a single quarter
🔹 About 77% of the losses didn’t come from projects’ core contracts, but from the periphery: compromised vendors, development tools, and infrastructure outside the scope of audits

That last point is worth thinking about: passing a smart contract audit ≠ being secure. Attackers increasingly bypass the front door and target “back doors” in the supply chain and toolchain—places ordinary users can hardly detect.

A few reminders:
✅ Don’t keep large amounts of assets on a single platform for too long
✅ Revoke permissions as soon as you’re done, and never click unfamiliar links
✅ Download wallets and plugins only from official sources

Would you spread your assets across several places, or keep them all in one wallet? 👇
