Just flipped through the order books: two very different temperatures for the same coin.
$BTC is at 81924, up 0.8% on the day and 0.9% below the high; daily trading volume is about 1.35 billion.
OKX’s top-five sell/buy ratio is about 14.2; Binance’s is about 0.99.
HL open interest is about 3.41 billion, with daily notional volume around 3.04 billion. The ratio is 1.12, so turnover isn’t dead.
One side looks like contracts are selling off, while spot is still seeing volume—being in the green doesn’t mean selling pressure is gone.
I’m betting the pressure on the contracts side hasn’t eased, so I’m not calling this a breakout. Anyone want to argue that “this already counts as a breakout”?
I’ll change my mind only if OKX’s sell/buy ratio drops back below 2.
