Before looking at fund flows, first understand what a volume surge means.
The multiple is relative: for coins that usually trade at low volumes, a several-fold increase may be caused by just one or two large orders. The same increase in trading volume for a major coin is much rarer.
A price rise on high volume is often interpreted as buying support behind the rally, while a drop on high volume is often seen as evidence of real selling pressure. But these are just rules of thumb.
Don’t place an order at the fastest-moving moment. Wait for the price to settle before taking a look.
