People going long on Hynix at 960$SKHYNIX are paying rent to the shorts

Hynix plunged from 1,120 to 925, bounced back to 960, and now people are calling it a buying opportunity again. I’ll just say this: if you go long at 960, you’re effectively paying rent to the shorts.

What’s the funding rate? 0.11% every 8 hours—among the highest yesterday. The longs are paying, the price is bouncing, and positions are still growing. This isn’t fresh money coming in; the shorts are squeezing you.

Are the company’s fundamentals good? Yes. It’s a major supplier of high-bandwidth memory to Nvidia, and orders are still coming in. But does a good company’s stock never fall? It dropped 11% in a single day on Thursday. A 1.3% month-over-month rise in PPI is making AI data center construction more expensive, China is pushing for denser server memory by year-end, and next-generation equipment could be delayed until next year. The company says investment plans remain unchanged, but the stock isn’t listening.

Trade plan: Short between 960 and 980, stop-loss above 1,046, target 925.
