Blockchain industry | What exactly did Ethereum’s “Merge” merge?
The Beacon Chain went live as early as December 1, 2020, and ran in parallel with the original proof-of-work mainnet for nearly two years before they officially merged.
Since there was no longer a need to pay mining rewards to miners, the amount of newly issued ETH per day dropped sharply after the “Merge.”
After the “Merge,” newly issued $ETH was no longer given to miners, but instead was given to validators.
Markets are always full of surprises. What if the prediction you made in advance turns out to be wrong?
