Futures market watch: two reminders and one reference

In the futures market, I only watch crowding—not chat messages.

There are only three sets of numbers that matter in futures; everything else is noise.

1. BTC 82,155, 24h range 79,800–82,634, change +1.17%.
2. BTC notional open interest: $7.76 billion, 24h +3.60%
3. Account-wide long/short ratio: 1.55

My take: The funding rate at 0.0071% is near zero, and the long/short ratio is 1.55, so leverage hasn’t picked a side. If it hasn’t picked a side, don’t use high leverage to pick one for it.

Execution levels (based on current price ± structure, not an old chart):
- Momentum zone: Only consider chasing if price holds above 82,812; otherwise, it’s a false breakout.
- Buy the pullback: 81,169–81,662; don’t buy if that level breaks.
- No-trade zone: If the 1h candle closes below 80,676, I’m out of this trade.

My position: I only buy pullbacks; I don’t chase breakouts. If the structure holds, I can keep a starter position, but any add must wait for the pullback zone.

Data: Binance spot 24h / Binance USDⓈ-M / Yahoo daily (5-day change) / altme_fng / mempool_fees / defillama_chains / coingecko_trending. I don’t fill in missing numbers.
If memes aren’t outperforming BTC, are you still holding them?

Takeaway: L2s being cheap doesn’t mean they’re as safe as mainnet. Exit windows and sequencers are both risks.
Food for thought: Fear and Greed <25: sentiment is cold, but that doesn’t confirm a bottom.
