【Crypto Flash】Bitcoin briefly falls below $80,000, recovers to $82,500 within two hours
📉 U.S. and Asian stocks came under pressure on Thursday. BTC briefly dipped to around $79,800, breaking below the roughly $80,400 low that buyers had defended twice over the past week.
📈 The drop below that level lasted only about two hours, and the price soon rebounded to around $82,500. In early Asian trading on October 16, it was around $82,000, up about 1.3% on the day. ZEC led major cryptocurrencies, gaining about 8%.
👀 Markets are watching to see whether BTC can climb back above $84,000—the level it spiked to before retreating after Wednesday’s inflation data—and are awaiting Fed Chair Warsh’s remarks at an IMF meeting on Friday. U.S. inflation in September came in higher than expected, and the 10-year Treasury yield was around 5.07%.
