As of 12:27 Beijing time on October 16, Binance spot TIAUSDT was around 0.6131 USDT, up 15.636% over 24 hours; USDⓈ-M TIAUSDT perpetual was around 0.6127 USDT, up 15.517% over 24 hours. Spot trading volume was about 14.03 million USDT, while perpetual trading volume was about 94.02 million USDT. Both moved in the same direction, but the figures use different measures, so perpetual trading volume should not be treated directly as spot capital inflows.
Looking at the closed 4-hour candles, the 00:00–04:00 candle closed at 0.5799, with trading volume of about 25.34 million USDT; the 04:00–08:00 candle closed at 0.5901, with volume falling to about 9.87 million, down roughly 61% from the previous candle; the 08:00–12:00 candle closed at 0.6014, with volume recovering to about 13.93 million, but still roughly 45% below the first candle. The price has continued to climb, but volume has not returned to the first candle’s level. For now, this looks more like a recovery and position rotation after the rise than a confirmed acceleration phase.
The leverage side also shows no obvious loss of control. OI rose from about 39.62 million units, with a notional value of about 23.88 million USDT at 00:00, to about 39.93 million units and 24.02 million USDT at 12:00. The quantity increased by only about 0.78%, and the notional value by just about 0.60%—essentially sideways, followed by a slight inflow. The current funding rate field in premiumIndex is about -0.007449% per period, and the latest historical record is also negative. This alone does not prove a reversal is coming, but it at least indicates that bullish pricing has not continued to heat up significantly.
For trading, first watch 0.6201–0.6204. This is near the 24-hour highs for both spot and perpetuals; an intraday touch does not count as a breakout. Only if subsequent 4-hour candles close and hold above this range, accompanied by a clear pickup in trading volume, would it look more like a valid breakout. If the price falls back below 0.6014, watch 0.5901 first, then 0.5792. The 12:00–16:00 candle has not yet closed, so intraday price movements cannot substitute for confirmation.
Risk warning: This article is a market update and conditional analysis, not investment advice. TIA is highly volatile, and trading volume, leverage, and funding rates have different implications in spot and perpetual markets. Perpetuals also carry risks of liquidation, slippage, and funding rate changes. Do not treat an unclosed candle or a single indicator as a definitive directional signal.
