🔥 Even CZ was surprised!
Solana has arrived in Shanghai—why hasn’t BNB Chain?
Solana is sending an important signal in the Chinese market!
📍 The Solana Foundation has opened a new office in Shanghai!
Recently, Solana Foundation Chief Strategy Officer Rachel Conlan posted about a Solana-branded advertising campaign against Shanghai’s city skyline.
Worth noting: Conlan previously served as Binance’s global chief marketing officer and joined the Solana Foundation this September.
CZ then commented directly: It’s surprising that Solana can run ads in China and even set up an office, while BNB Chain has yet to do so.
💡 What’s really worth thinking about here isn’t just that Solana has another office. It’s that competition among public blockchains is entering a new phase:
✅ Brand competition: Who can build market awareness first?
✅ Ecosystem development: Who can connect more deeply with developers and local markets?
✅ Long-term competition: Who can turn global influence into real ecosystem growth?
But it’s worth remembering: opening an office and running ads don’t automatically mean gaining a market advantage. Ultimately, it comes down to developer numbers, user growth, real-world application launches, and regulatory progress.
🚀 My take: The next phase of public blockchain competition won’t just be about technology, TPS, and fees—it’ll also be a contest of branding, ecosystems, and the ability to execute globally.
