🚨 MSTR FACES POSSIBLE REMOVAL FROM MSCI INDEXES, $2.8 BILLION COULD COME UNDER SELLING PRESSURE

Important news for Michael Saylor and everyone following Strategy (MSTR). MSCI has approved new criteria for screening companies whose primary activity is holding assets rather than operating a business. Strategy and Metaplanet are among those at risk of being affected, since much of their investment story is tied to accumulating Bitcoin.

According to an earlier estimate by JPMorgan, if MSTR is removed from MSCI indexes, the stock could face around $2.8 billion in passive outflows. That’s because index-tracking funds would have to adjust their portfolios to reflect the change.

However, this shouldn’t be taken to mean that this money will definitely be sold off. MSCI is expected to announce the final list on November 11, before the changes take effect on November 30, 2026.

Personally, I think the key thing to watch isn’t just the price of BTC, but also whether MSTR can retain its place in major indexes. If it is removed, the pressure could affect the stock and investor sentiment, although that doesn’t mean Strategy would have to sell its Bitcoin holdings.

Saylor chose to turn MSTR into a Bitcoin-accumulating machine, but now that very model is putting the company to the test by traditional index providers.
