Guys, this is something you really need to understand: the Ethereum Merge!
At the time, the Merge did not enable withdrawals of staked funds. Staked ETH could only be withdrawn after the Shanghai upgrade (Shapella) in April 2023.
Think of the Merge as changing the engine on a plane mid-flight: account balances, contracts, and transaction history all stayed the same—the way blocks were produced is what changed.
After the Merge, newly issued $ETH was no longer given to miners, but instead rewarded to validators.
