Will $100 support save Solana, or is another sell-off coming?

The $SOL ecosystem is at a critical crossroads after falling 13% so far this month, dragged down by an eight-day streak of net outflows from its exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and pressure from recent macroeconomic inflation data. SOL's price is teetering dangerously around $101.82, testing the most important psychological level for bulls, while the market nervously awaits the imminent upgrade to its mainnet.

My Analysis

I won't sugarcoat it: in the short term, $SOL 's structure shows clear technical weakness after hitting resistance at its 50-day EMA and confirming a double-top pattern at $122. However, my outlook for the coming sessions is cautious, with an intention to accumulate at lower levels. The key fundamental catalyst will arrive on October 21 with the release of a major network upgrade designed to reduce transaction finality to just 150 milliseconds. In addition, the sustained expansion of tokenized stocks on its blockchain shows that underlying institutional interest remains latent.

The real risk right now isn't the ecosystem, but trading with excessive leverage at an obvious support level. If $SOL loses the $100 threshold amid institutional liquidation volume, the bullish thesis is immediately invalidated, and I'll look to preserve capital at the lower support level of $95.65. The only way to survive altcoin volatility is to manage risk mathematically and accept small losses before they become destructive.
