On emotional days, people forget every bit of good advice, so I wrote these rules down and stuck them up where I could see them:
One. Write down your stop-loss level before entering a trade. If you can’t write one down, don’t enter.
Two. Never risk more than 2% of your capital on a single trade. No exceptions.
Three. Never add to a losing position. Never average down.
Four. After three losing trades in a row, stop for the day. Watch, but don’t trade.
Five. Withdraw some of your profits. The money leaves, but your mindset stays.
That’s all five. Not one is about “how to read the market.” Because the reason people lose big money is never
that they misread the market—it’s that their execution got distorted. Let’s keep each other accountable.
