Justin Sun said the market significantly underestimates the potential impact of Q-Day, or the quantum threat day, on Bitcoin’s price. According to Odaily, Tron is working to implement post-quantum cryptography standards from the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology, with the technology already live on a testnet and mainnet deployment expected as early as early next year. Sun said Bitcoin’s consensus process and technical upgrades progress slowly, making a network-wide upgrade nearly impossible even if the risk were identified two years in advance. He added that large financial institutions, including BlackRock, have invested substantial funds but have not been directly involved in Bitcoin development and lack understanding of the network’s underlying technical evolution.
