A note: The current funding rate for $WAL is -0.05% (settled every 4 hours). Shorts pay, which works out to an approximate simple annualized rate of 109.6% for this period.
People often ask how to interpret funding rates, so here’s my take.
Settlement intervals vary by contract: some settle every 8 hours, others every 4 hours, and during volatile market conditions, certain contracts may be adjusted to settle every hour. Check the contract page for details.
When comparing funding rates, it’s best to convert them to the same settlement interval. The same rate means a contract that settles every 4 hours will settle several times a day.
Leave some room when opening contract positions—don’t let a single wick force you out of your position.

That’s just my opinion, not investment advice.
