The hardest part for holders isn’t the day it fell below $90—it’s now. The price is sitting at $82, still 16% below its ATH of $97.96. The position is still in profit, but you’re stuck at a crossroads: “stay aggressive or take half off the table?”

Don’t rush into a decision. First, look at the numbers: 30 days ago, $HYPE started at $78 and touched $97.19 on September 23. Over the following three weeks, it drifted back to $80–82 on declining volume. Daily trading volume in that range fell from a peak of $1.87B to as low as $456M, then recovered to $942M today. It ranks 11th by market cap. This looks more like consolidation after a rally than a collapse—but no one can say how long the consolidation will last.

I care more about the quality of the rebound. $HYPE isn’t short on a narrative; what’s missing is clarity on what price new money is willing to buy back in at. Whether you trim or hold, either choice can make sense. The least worthwhile move is rushing to average down at $82 just because “it’s fallen enough.” There’s only one metric worth waiting to confirm: daily volume returning to above $1B while the price closes and holds above $85. If that happens, it shows buyers are stepping in to support the pullback. If the rebound keeps stalling below $600M, it’s just a stop-loss-driven recovery.

My own confirmation point is a high-volume move back above $85. If you think holding above $80 is enough to make it worth getting in, that’s fine too. Just don’t treat your position size as a measure of your courage before the signal appears.
