🚨 MSCI rules take effect: Strategy and Metaplanet’s index seats are at risk!

📌 MSCI has officially adopted an exclusion rule for “non-operating companies”:
• First, it checks whether a company has substantial operating assets. If it fails, it is assessed against 5 financial ratios; failing 4 means it is ineligible
• Implemented in the November index review, effective after market close on November 30
• Final list announced on November 11

📉 A previous simulation (based on May 2026 data) flagged Strategy, Metaplanet, and Yellow Cake. JPMorgan estimates that if Strategy is removed, it could face around $2.8 billion in passive selling. Strategy closed at $143.24 on Thursday, down 5.9% for the day.

🧠 My take:
1️⃣ The rules taking effect ≠ immediate removal. Existing constituents must fail to qualify for two consecutive annual reporting periods before being removed, so there’s a grace period
2️⃣ The main downside risk is to the stock; for $BTC spot, it’s a sentiment shock, not direct selling pressure
3️⃣ The November 11 list is the key date; funds positioning early may move first

The current Fear & Greed Index is 53 (neutral).

Do you think Strategy will ultimately be removed? A: Yes B: No. Let us know in the comments 👇
