Why does changing just one character make the entire hash look completely different?
A hash isn’t encryption: encrypted data can be restored with a key, but hashing is one-way—you can’t recover the original content from the hash.
SHA-256 always produces a 256-bit output, which is 64 characters when written in hexadecimal.
Don’t laugh at me—I only remembered that after learning it the hard way.
Don’t rush into buying just because everyone else is.
