Ethereum falls 6% after U.S. inflation data
and $106 million in long positions are liquidated
Crypto.news reported that Ethereum’s price fell by about 6% to $2,350 on October 15, following the release of U.S. inflation data for September, which came in higher than market expectations. This intensified selling pressure and led to the liquidation of leveraged long positions worth more than $106 million on Binance within a single hour.

Darkfost, an analyst at CryptoQuant, said the liquidation wave followed the release of the U.S. Consumer Price Index data, which showed inflation accelerating in September. He noted that the volume of Ethereum long positions liquidated on Binance in a single hour reached its highest level in six months.
