$PYTH — price is rising, but activity is almost nonexistent

Up 1.1% in five minutes, 1.4% in fifteen, and 1.8% in forty-five. The price is 0.09416, above the hourly average of 0.09118.

But volume over five minutes is x0.77 of normal, and over fifteen minutes, x0.36. In other words, the price is climbing amid noticeably lower activity. This is neither a contradiction nor a signal: the move is simply happening in a thin market, where even a small flow of orders can shift the price.

There’s no clear trade here. A thin market can move the price just as easily in either direction, and the risk isn’t well-defined. I’m watching.
