Scammers get scammed: 60 BTC wiped out

Chainalysis revealed that on September 22, a task-scam operator split the stolen funds across three Ledger addresses. On October 9, the funds were drained in individual transactions: all 60 BTC, worth about $4.8 million, were consolidated into a single wallet.

Sixty BTC is a drop in the ocean compared with daily BTC trading volume and won’t move the market. The key is the consolidation itself—a standard step before funds enter a mixer. Afterward, they’ll likely be broken into smaller amounts and moved through OTC and off-exchange channels, with selling pressure gradually seeping into spot order books. If price can’t break through the top of this range, the news is just an excuse to shake out longs. If it retests and holds above the previous low, you can get back in. When the market weakens, the correlated declines in and are usually steeper, so don’t buy altcoins on their own.

At this level, would you place limit orders to buy the dip, or wait for a rebound to resistance and then short?
