$AGT$GOOGL The market has broadly treated this news as a harmless bit of cultural PR: What does an Artprice founder publishing a French-language collection of AI conversations have to do with Google’s AI narrative and stock price? But I think this actually exposes a key misjudgment about $GOOGL’s moat—the market is fixated on TPUs, Gemini model parameters, and cloud revenue, while overlooking how Google is quietly moving beyond being a tool provider and becoming cognitive infrastructure through the cultural narrative of “AI as a partner in intellectual dialogue.” Look at the data: GOOGL’s options-implied volatility has recently eased along with the AI sector (see today’s sell-off in U.S. AI stocks and the disruption from TSMC’s earnings), but the put/call ratio hasn’t reached extremes, suggesting institutions aren’t panicking. Historically, whenever Google has been criticized for “lagging in AI” (such as Bard’s failure in early 2023), it has gone on to outperform the Nasdaq over the following six months. More importantly, BTC is currently at $82,461, up 0.99% over 24 hours, so risk appetite hasn’t collapsed—capital is simply being rebalanced within AI. While the market treats “author responsibility” as an ethical side note, Google has already used Gemini to embed AI in conversations about philosophy, language, and copyright. That’s a soft standard that’s harder to replace than computing power. What do you think? Different views are welcome in the comments.
