$ZEREBRO The close I was waiting for in the previous update has just arrived. From 23:00 to 24:00, price did more than just touch 0.048089 intrahour: it closed at 0.051274 on a surge in volume. The previous “rebound that couldn’t hold” picture has changed. I’m moving my assessment of the recovery back to cautiously bullish, but the prior high has not been cleared, so I won’t extrapolate the entire move from this single strong candle.

First, let’s acknowledge the significance of this change. On Binance, the ZEREBROUSDT perpetual rose from 0.047010 to close at 0.051274 over the past hour, up about 9.07%, on roughly 33.3893 million USDT in volume—2.26 times the previous hour’s 14.7808 million. Volume had been declining for several hours; now price has advanced alongside a return in volume. The close also moved above 0.048089 and the 20:00 hourly high of 0.049900. This is more convincing evidence of a recovery than a brief move above a level that ultimately gives way by the close.

However, the high was 0.054230, still just short of the 0.054798 high from 18:00 on the 15th, and the close was below this hour’s high. Price pulled back after reaching the area of the prior high, so for now we can say the recovery has regained strength, but not that the entire resistance zone has been broken—much less that the next hour is certain to continue higher.

As for the low, this hour’s low was 0.046824, above the previous hour’s 0.045502, and price did not break below 0.045465 again. The loss of the low mentioned in the previous update did happen; this new bullish candle doesn’t erase that fact. What has changed is that price did not continue lower after the breakdown. Instead, it reclaimed a higher closing level on stronger volume. The earlier assessment, which focused only on the weakening low, therefore needs to account for this reversal test.

The four-hour candle from 20:00 to 24:00 is now complete: it closed at 0.051274, up about 6.66% from 0.048074, on roughly 86.3259 million USDT in volume. That is about 38.62% less than the 140.63 million from 16:00 to 20:00. So hourly volume can surge while four-hour volume contracts—the comparisons cover different time windows. The higher close on the new four-hour candle is encouraging, but overall volume has not recovered to the previous period’s level, so the sustainability of any further advance still needs to be monitored.

The new settlement funding rate at 00:00 was positive 0.006942%, slightly up from the positive 0.005000% at 20:00. The change is small, so it cannot by itself explain this rally. The historical open-interest series still contains gaps and anomalous jumps, and it cannot be reliably reconciled with subsequent real-time values. I won’t use it to infer new long positions or net capital inflows for now. On the project side, I haven’t verified any new announcement that would independently explain this price surge.

The more useful question now is whether a pullback can continue to hold above around 0.049900, and at the very least avoid quickly closing back below 0.048089. To the upside, watch whether price can close above the 0.054230–0.054798 zone and hold the breakout. If price merely tests it again and then retreats, the disagreement around the prior high remains. If closes and volume continue to confirm the move, there will be time to raise the assessment. What this update adds is a volume-backed reclaim of a key level and confirmation from a completed four-hour candle—not a rewrite of the previous update to make it seem as though this rally had already been predicted.
