It’s almost midnight, and this market brings a saying to mind: doing nothing is also a move.
But my system made a move tonight.
Honestly, XAUT is at $4,152 right now, up 1.4% in 24 hours. It peaked at $4,163 and bottomed at $4,076. With the broader market barely moving, gold tokens are climbing against the trend—in plain terms, safe-haven money is looking for somewhere to hide. My system’s signal shifted from “wait and see” this afternoon to “lean bullish,” and the grid has already made two trades. A buy order around $4,118 was closed at $4,148. That price range is the top of the channel it’s been bouncing around in lately.
But I haven’t added to my position. Why? Because $4,163 has only been touched once, and volume hasn’t picked up. $46M in trading volume isn’t much here, either. A breakout needs a second confirmation. I chased the highs twice this year, and I’ve had enough of that.
A quick look at the bigger picture: ₿ BTC is up just 0.2% at $81,992, with volume below $1.8 billion, while Ξ ETH is down 0.7% at $2,415. Both heavyweights are just drifting around in a four-hour range. You know, money isn’t flowing into risk assets—it’s heading straight into places like XAUT. That alone is a signal.
The system’s call is “lean bullish, but no breakout,” so I’m sticking with the grid and pocketing the spread. I’ll wait until $4,163 holds before deciding what to do…
So, what’s your average cost on the XAUT you’re holding? I’m tempted to add a little to my position, but I can’t quite bring myself to do it. Still on the fence…
