$SNDK SanDisk's rebound is losing steam, and the memory sector is cooling. Valuation normalization remains a risk over the medium to long term!

SanDisk has continued to weaken recently, and its earlier gains are coming under pressure to unwind. As enthusiasm for the memory sector gradually cools, market trading dynamics are also changing. Growth in AI-related memory demand alone is no longer enough to sustain a continued rise in the share price.

Fundamentally, NAND demand still has some support, but the share price had already priced in high growth expectations. Meanwhile, intensifying industry competition and ongoing advances in memory technology, combined with interest-rate pressures from higher-than-expected CPI, have made the market more cautious toward high-valuation tech stocks. SanDisk also faces the risk of being repriced.

Hao believes there is no need to rush in and buy the dip. Over the medium to long term, opportunities to build short positions on rallies may still be worth watching.
